One of the great things about AeroPress – other than that it’s so quick and simple – is how easy it is to experiment with your own coffee recipes.
When creating your own recipe, the first thing you’ll need to decide is which position to brew your coffee in. No, we’re not talking about yoga. We mean choosing whether to brew it in the inverted position or the traditional/upright position.
Many people have strong feelings about this. Yet while the 2016 World AeroPress Champion opted for the inverted method, the first and second runners-up chose the upright one. Ultimately, which method is best comes down to your taste preferences and your recipe. Our advice is to experiment with all the different options until you work out what you like.

Of course, there are far more variables to play around with: the amount of ground coffee, the amount of water, the time, the water temperature, the grind size… And that’s what makes the AeroPress so fun.
